Eastern Forktail Damselfly

Eastern Forktail
It seems to me that damselflies come out before dragonflies on the cool mornings.  I would probably ignore them in favor of the dragonflies, if present.  I photographed this one on a cool morning a couple weeks ago.

Eastern Forktail
I understand them to be common in our area.  They are about an inch long.  They can "hide" on a grass stem in plain sight.

This is probably a female.
