Natrolite, An Evolution continued

Natrolite
I liked this much better than previous ones.  I didn't like the tic-tac showing.  I liked the dark background which helped the crystals stand out.

Natrolite
I had to paint the box and easel white while I waited for the Fotodiox Portable Studio to arrive.  I worried that the subject would not be inside far enough to catch the light correctly.  I have not gone to my most extreme setup but I am not worried any more.

Natrolite
Early in the evolution when I was yet unsure about the appearance of natrolite,  I made this capture thinking the dark crystal was the subject.

I have recently started an Instagram account.  I have devised the above format for displaying my images since Instagram requires the image to be square.  You can visit me at leleicher45.  Check it out!  My friend Chuck Hagan helped me get started.  Look for Chuck also at Instagram.

I made this capture on April 19, 2018.  I like it second best.

Rue Anemone

Rue Anemone
AKA Anemonella thalictroides, the Rue Anemone is a wonderful little spring flower at Gorman.  I love the color of the leaves when immature.  I made this capture at Gorman on April 17, 2007,

I made this capture on May 17, 2006 at Gorman.  The leaves turn to green as the plant matures.

Rue Anemone
It is an herbaceous perennial, i.e. it comes back each year.
