Barnyard Grass

Also known as Echinochloa crusgalli, this grass originates from tropical Asia as a wild plant.  It can grow over 60" in height.  It is considered an invasive species in North America.  It can be used as forage for cattle.

Ilmenite

Ilmenite is iron titanium oxide.  It is ground into a white powder for creating paint and the metal titanium.  Titanium is extremely strong and light and used to build airplanes and once bicycles.  It was the principle metal in the SR-71 spy plane.

They started building the SR-71 in the late 60's and had to learn to machine titanium in the process.  Kelly Johnson was the guy who designed it.
