New England Aster



New England Aster
 The scientific name for the New England Aster is Symphyotrichum novae-angliae.  It is also known at New England Aster, Hairy Michealmas-daisy, or Michaelmas Daisy.

New England Aster
It is a flowering herbaceous perennial plant in the asteraceae family which is native to most of the lower 48 east of the rockies.  It was introduced in Europe in 1710 and is a garden Escapee.  The flower heads range from deep purple to rose but is rarely white.

Cessna 172c



Cessna 172c
 I used to see this aircraft often when I went to Gorman.  It sounded louder than other planes that large.  I seemed to go faster.  The pilot seemed to want to do fancy flying.

I have decided that 1/500th or 1/750th would be a fast enough shutter speed for this shot.  I used 1/1000th and as you can see it stops the prop.  I think I would like the propeller to be slightly blurred.
