Serandite



Serandite
This mineral was discovered in Guinea in 1931 and named for J. M. Sèrand on Los Islands.  The sample above is from  De-mix Varennes Qy Vaennes Saint Amables Sill Quebec, Canada.  It's FOV is 7mm and 3.36x on the sensor.

Rattlesnake Master

Rattlesnake Master
This plant is commonly found among the prairie grasses in USA.  The seed pods have spines.  The seeds fall from the spheres when ripe.
