Led Lights and Soft Boxes

 This is the solution I am exploring at the present time.  I love the soft light!

I still have to under expose in certain cases.  More on that at another time.

Shooting Clover in Macro

I initially got the CamRanger with the idea that I could spare my barely mobile neck and my sore back.  I could set up and view the subject on screen instead of getting down to look through the view finder.

When I brought it indoors, I started using the light cube.  I eventually migrated to flash and then to LED lights

The Led lights gave a nice soft light but I was still looking for something else.

This may be what I was looking for.  Please notice the SOFT light on the subject.

More Diamonds

I also bought another sampling of diamonds for $2.00.  These were so small they looked like dust.  I tried to photograph all of them as there were many.  I could not see them to pick them out.  These are a few of them but not all.  You will notice that they are clear and different colors.
