I like to consider the background as I select the subject. I believe that it is as important as the subject.
I used a 42" light diffuser to make these. It toned down the high lights. It is definitely not as summery as the images in the direct sunlight.
For those interested, I printed the one with the blue background and found that is was manageable in the printing arena. I had some out of gamut colors in the background only, but the colors the system could reproduce were very agreeable to me.
