I came around the corner on the path and there he/she stood.  We surprised each other.  I had my 50-500mm mounted and set on a monopod so I was ready.

I think this was a young one and I'm not sure why at this moment.

This is the same bird.  It seemed to be at ease around me.  I stood in plain sight 20 or 30 yards from it and photographed it on a rail.

I found them difficult to photograph at Gorman Nature Center and Clear Fork.  I have successful shots from Lake Erie where it's easier that I may show later.

I shoot these kind of shots with my camera set on continues shooting at 8 fps.  I captured something this time which helped me learn about this bird.
