Witches' Butter II

Witches' Butter
It is on the same log where I found the remnants of other outgrowths.  It almost looks like someone left their yellow chewing gum on the log.  If you look closely, you will see the pores from which the spores emanate.  It is growing on an American Elm log.  It is small, about 5/8 inch.

Witches' Butter Size
You probably can see that the increments on the scale are 1/64 inch.

Witches' Butter Camera Setup
You can see the other fungus on the end of the log which I shared previously.  You must look carefully to even see the fungus pictured today.  I used a Canon 500D closeup filter on the Sigma 105 mm macro lens for this shot.  I used CamRanger for this focus stack, step small.  It contained 200 images.  We had an overcast sky and needed no supplemental light.
