turdus migratorius

American Robin
I was walking down a trail protected from the wind the other morning and saw perhaps a dozen or more robins feeding.  I almost always have my long lens mounted and ready so I began to shoot.  This one hopped toward me.

American Robin
It began to feed on what looked like a grub in the taller grass.

American Robin Swallowing the Grub
I swallowed the grub and looked at me with a satisfied look on its face.

Satisfied American Robin
Does a robin have looks on its face?  I just thought that it looked satisfied.
