These are birds in captivity.  They, for the most part, are in rehab or are unable to live in the wild.  The Bard Owl is the best in terms of not showing the cage.  I used a long lens and needed to be closer to the cage in the other cases.  I also think that I could improve them by using a tripod instead of a mono-pod.

I also created some video clips and put them together into a shot series.  You can view it at my website (see below)  I really needed to use the tripod as you will see.
