Malus domestica

Apple Blooms
The blooms are quite showy initially.  They become white or pink as they develop.  They are in bloom currently.  The surprise here is that they bear no fruit.

Apple Tree

The bark looks like apple.  They seem quite common.

Keith Kisling has one in his pasture

Apple Tree
His bears no fruit also.

Most, if not all that I have observed are possibly a woody shrub or a shrub where the multitudinous shoots have been thinned so that just one "truck" can benefit from the root system.
