Closeups of Damselflies

I love to sit by the vernal pool and wait and watch.  The animals seem to get used to me and go about their activities.  I keep a Canon 500D closeup filter in my shirt pocket in case something lands too close.

This damselfly landed too close for my macro lens so I attached the Canon 500D and kept shooting.  It was a more than frame filling image, so I shot two parts.

I wonder if I had shot all of the insect, I could have combined the shots for a whole view.  Next time I will try to remember to try that.
