Pond: Things to See

American Bullfrog

I see lots of other things as I sit waiting for damselflies.  This medium sized bullfrog sat about three feet from me the entire time I was there.  I made this shot to show how to identify a bullfrog.  The ridge behind the eye goes back and around the posterior of the tympanum and down.  If it were a green frog, it would go straight down the back.

I saw a cross-eyed bullfrog.

I saw a tadpole which had grown legs and was assimilating its tail.
