Airport Day 2012 was last Saturday. The weather was so hot, I decided not to go on Friday to film the plane's arrival. This plane in the passenger version was the Boeing 707. It also served as Air force One back in the day. It looks different because they have added updated engines which are much larger in diameter.

We have the 179th Air National Guard at Mansfield Lahm. There is talk that we may loose it. It would be another blow to a community already weakened by plant closures, etc. They fly the C-27J. It is a two engine version of the C-130 which they had before. 1. Please go to www.ngaus.org 2. Scroll down to "Write to Congress" and enter your zip code. 3. Under "Action Alert" click on "Legislative Alert #12-10" (this is a senate only" letter) 4. Complete the "Sender Information" 5. Scroll down and click in "Send Message"
