More of Don's Carving

Mallard Duckling Carving






These carvings are of differing sizes.  The cardinal above is a pin.  The duck on the right, above, is about 6 inches long.  The others are in between.  As I looked at these to photograph them, I became aware that Don is an artist.  He inscribed all but the one made of shells with dates and his name.  I glimpsed a view of his evolution as an artist over the years.  I doubt that his sisters appreciate the work and effort that went into the creation of these works of art.  He certainly has my respect!

Again, I photograph to see.  I saw these art objects in a light not seen before as a result of my photographing them.  It was an evocative experience.
