Wulfenite III

Previously, I showed you this image of Wulfenite.  Wulfenite is an ore of lead and a source of molybdenum.  It can be yellow, orange, red and sometimes brown.  It is a source of molybdenum which is used in jet engine compressor blades.

This image was captured using a Sigma 180mm Macro lens with a Mamya 50mm mounted in reverse as a closeup filter.  I have revisited these samples with a different camera setup recently.

Microscope Objective Mounted on a Tube Lens
There is no glass inside the tube.  The objective has the glass lenses.

I will show the yield from this setup next time.

On a personal note, my wife Carol is very sick and was at Ohio Health Mansfield from January 3 until January 12.  She was transported to the Cleveland Clinic as of last night.  We are all hoping that she will have a speedy recovery and return to us soon.
