I am on a quest to obtain evidence of the spores on a mushroom, called "spore print."  I did not obtain it from this mushroom but did find mold growing on it.

The nearly vertical parts are gills.  This is a cross section of the fly agaric.  the flesh is the part below the gills. The skin of the cap is below that and the mold is the green curve below that.

This image was captured from the view through the microscope at 40X.  I used the bottom light, just strong enough for focus.  I used a flash at the lower right for top light.  The light light at the lower right is a reflection.
