Red-winged Blackbird Attack

Larry being attacked by the Red-winged Blackbird
The Red-winged Blackbirds like to nest around the pond.  We have so many that they even nest in the meadow.  The males, in particular, become feisty from the time the eggs are laid until the young are fledged and can care for them selves.  I am, by nature, a peace full creature until I am attacked.  At that point my ire rises.

I have been trying to demonstrate their aggressiveness in an image since "egg laying" time unsuccessfully.  The young are currently fledging and time is limited to make that capture for this season.  I decided to try a wide lens with a video:  Windows and AndroidApple  It is better than asking someone else to risk life and limb for the image.  LOL!  If you look closely, you may see the female fly from right to left across the bottom and later from lower left to upper center.

It will not win any awards but it was fun on a day when not much else was happening.
