Eastern Towhee

Eastern Towhee
It had been a frosty morning and this little guy was warming himself in the sun.  Notice how his feathers are puffed out.  He was very cooperative.  He/she was sitting on the branch using one foot.  Maybe the other was warming near his body.  I used a Sigma 50 - 500 mm lens mounted on a Manfrotto monopod and I stood in the open.  I tried to stay behind the camera and not make any sudden moves.  ISO 1600 gave me a 1/500 shutter speed which was fast enough mounted on the monopod.
