Quartz Crystals |
When you look at a crystal with facets, you move it to see the reflected light. For a still photograph of something with facets, it seems to me that one must work with lighting to show the faces to success. I experimented with this Quarts yesterday. I wanted to show the large face in the front center. In addition to the side lights, I used another flood to illuminate that face. I also lit the bottom so that the overall lightness of the translucent to transparent crystal was not dark. I think that it was a good exercise for me.
