Flint Shapes |
I think that this is flint. I have been wondering about the "negative" crystal shapes in it. I have read that flint is a hard sedimentary rock form of the mineral quartz. I wonder if quartz crystals could have been next to this rock as the sediment formed. I don't know if that is a wild theory or not. Never-the-less, I wonder about these shapes.
As a photograph, the negative shape on the bottom and the one above which could be viewed as negative or positive seem to compliment each other. I find it interesting and I hope that you do too.
