Getting Started V

Step Down Ring
This adapter as you can see ranges from 58mm to 48mm.  The largest threads, 58mm must fit the filter threads of the lens.  You can't see it well in this capture but there is another adapter inside ranging from 48mm to 42mm.

Step Down Ring
This adapter ranges from 42mm to 15mm.  The objective mounts in the 15mm opening.  Some times you need to improvise if one adapter in the sizes you need is unavailable.

Mounted Objective
The caveat here is that you must mount the objective onto the adapters so that the inside surface including the adapters, the bottom in this image, is flat.  This threads into the filter threads on the lens and there is not much space.  It could scratch your lens if this step is ignored.  I made that mistake once and was lucky.

The Lens Assembly Ready to Mount on the Camera
I like to set the focus at ∞ and the aperture at max opening, f/4.  I tape those settings so that it cannot change.  Why this lens with this objective.  Johan J Ingles recommends it and so far all of his recommendations have worked for me.
