Yofortierite Eudialyte

I showed a series named Yofortierite back in April.  This is another sample including Yofortierite and also including Eudialyite.  They are in the same group.

This sample comes to us from Varennes, Saint Amable Sill, Quebec, Canada.

The formula for Eudialyte is  Na15Ca6(Fe2+,Mn2+)3Zr3[Si25O73](O,OH,H2O)3(OH,Cl)



Yofortierite Eudialyte
The formula for Yofortierite is Mn5Si8O20(OH)2 · 8-9H2

Color variable: Carmine-red, orange-red, orange, pink, cherry-red, brownish-red, yellowish-brown, brown, yellow, violet, green.  Emphasize the soap name to pronounce Eudialyte.

Yofortierite Eudialyte
 Eudialyte is used as a minor ore of Zirconium.
