The new one is out and is called the 2.0 version. It is on OneDrive. If you do not have Win10, you will need to download the app from Microsoft and install before going to the link above.
2.0 was precipitated after I read George Lepp's column in the June Outdoor Photographer. He gave me a basic bit of information which I had not applied in my macro photography. He said that the extension mounted needs to be less than the focal length of the lens otherwise the image will be inside the lens and unusable. He said this referring to using extension with a wide angle lens to get a closeup with background. He said to use a small aperture.
I applied this concept to my use of extension in my macro photography to make sure I was not using too much extension. I decided that I must mount the 1.4x or 2x converter on the lens making it even longer and therefore accepting of more extension. I own 136mm of extension tubes and use almost all of them in some setups. See above. The added extension make my setup shaky and I must be extra careful when using it.
