 I found this plant growing in the pond the first day back after my mid-summer hiatus.  The pond level had receded so it was growing from the exposed muddy bottom.

I thought the leaves resembled Pickeral Weed.  I thought it just another variety.  I was wrong.

If you know me, you might expect that I would hang out to observe what goes on around the plant.  I discovered the hover fly likes it.
