Prairie False Indigo

The Prairie False Indigo, as I write, is in full bloom.

The individual blooms, may be called bracts, resemble a snap dragon.  They also function the same as you can see from the top image.   The bees much exert some effort to get to the nectar.  (Look for the video at the bottom of the page.)
