Gargoyle on an American Elm Tree |
This protuberance is on an American Elm tree. I was photographing it recently and took a closer look. It reminded me of the head of something. I decided that it was a gargoyle. I used some editing in Photoshop to make my vision more clear to you. I burned, made darker, the area of truck not including the head. I filled in and smudged the area under the eye and slightly reddened the tongue. I have a series of this kind of shot. I see faces when I walk through the forest. That's scarey, right?
