Bullfrog

Bullfrog
These frogs can be heard on some days and not on others.  I don't know if the reason is the time of day that I am there or the weather or what.  They can be distinguished from the Green Frog visually by the absence of the dorsolateral ridge.  This ridge appears as a skin fold running from behind the typmanium (ear) down each side of the back.  The Bullfrog does not exhibit this ridge.  They also emit a distinctive sound.  I have never observed them making that sound.  I would like a shot of one in the process.  I am learning to imitate their sound.  I have no recordings to share of myself but I do have one of a Bullfrog
