Descloizite



Descloizite
This sample is from Gold Hill, Utah.

The mineral was discovered in 1854 in Cordoba, Argentina and was named in honor of a French minerologist, Alfred des Cloizeaux.

It is a mineral having the formula (Pb, Zn)2 (OH)VO4

Descloizite
Descloizite occurs in oxidized portions of veins of lead ores in association with Pyromorphite, Vandadinite, Wulfenite, Mottramite, Mimetite and Cerussite.
