| Bull Thistle |
The scientific name for this is cersium vulgare.
They bloom about this time of the year. I try to show the plant blooms I present at the time of year they bloom. These were big nasty thistles which grew in the pasture. The cows ignored them. That was the time of the year Dad would "clip" the pasture. To my knowledge clipping the pasture was a purely aesthetic process. I would never have thought to consider them beautiful back then.
