Polyporus squamoses

Polyporus squamoses
I had not seen this stage of dryad saddle.  The view appealed to me.

I am not an experienced observer.  I wanted to think that this was the same species as that at the top of the page.

Alsike Clover

Alsike Clover
Three blossoms in three stages of development appealed to me.

Alsike Clover
My father, a farmer, pronounced it "al sack" while that is an option the other option seems to "al sike."  He used its seed mixed with other clovers when he sowed oats.  He used a four year crop rotation with the fourth year being clover from which he made hay for the cows or used it for pasture.

American Bull Frog

American Bullfrog
We were both looking East, but probably for different reasons.  She was probably looking for breakfast.  I, on the other hand, was looking for a subject and the right light.  She accommodate my needs, and I did as much as I could not to stand in her way of achieving breadfast.

Canada Geese

Canada Goose
I am starting to feel relaxed doing this type of shooting.  I don't panic because I know they live around the nature center and are sporadically available as subjects.

Canada Goose
Being relaxed, I can work the light and the pose.  The geese seem somewhat accustomed to my presence so they are relaxed also.  I really like the early light.
